Katie assists clients to explore then generate innovative solutions to leadership and performance challenges. She is committed to creating a safe, judgement-free, ‘Thinking Environment’ for all her clients and working with the ‘whole person’, recognising the range of pressures both personal and professional that affect performance. Adapting her style to the needs of each client, Katie has the ability to combine edge and challenge with warmth, sensitivity and humour. She is practical, flexes her style through a spectrum from ‘pure’ coaching to more content-rich coaching. Her open manner and infectious energy enable her to establish strong connections quickly, which lead to immediate results for individual clients and senior teams.
Professional Background
Prior to becoming one of the first coaches in the UK (in 1999), Katie worked in the sports industry in education, and then sponsorship with the International Tennis Federation and London Wasps RFC. She did her undergraduate degree and post graduate studies at Birmingham University, and completed her foundation coach training with Coach U, CTI and Q-OPD. A believer in continuous professional and personal development, Katie achieved accreditation in The Hay Group’s Emotional Competency Inventory and TMSDI’s Team Management Profile in 2003, then accreditation in TMS Team Performance Profile, Linking Skills Profile, and Opportunity Orientation Profile in 2005. Katie completed her NLP Practitioner training in 2004, became a CEDR Accredited Mediator in 2006, attended The Choice by The Arbinger Institute in 2007, Enneagram training in 2008, completed the Choice in Coaching: Arbinger Mastery Training for Coaches in 2009, and has completed over 20 years Foundation and Post Graduate training in Humanistic Psychotherapy at Spectrum (2002 – present day).
Katie began training with Nancy Kline in 2012; completed Nancy’s Time to Think Foundation (2013) and Facilitator Training Programmes (2014), and two Thinking Partnership Programmes (2012 & 2013). Katie continued her training with TMSDI in 2017 with accreditation in their Leadership Behaviours 360 Profile. In 2018 and 2020, Katie completed the comprehensive training to become a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner and a Certified DiSC Trainer. Katie became a Youth Mental Health First Aid Champion in 2023, and completed New Codes for Living with The Arrigo Programme in 2024 and 2025. In 2024 Katie learnt of the work of Dick Schwartz and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She felt a strong resonance with this approach and enrolled in their Online Circle program in 2024 and then Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) in 2025. Katie was introduced to the work of Kim Scott in early 2026. She devoured Kim's book, became an immediate champion of Radical Candor and enrolled in an online training program!
Professional Affiliations
Katie is a member of the International Coach Federation and a founder member of Bravehearts – a “coach the coach” group established to rigorously challenge and stretch members’ coaching skills and professional expertise.
Personal Interests
Katie is a keen sportswoman and enjoys being active (particularly tennis, skiing, scuba diving, netball, hot yoga, walks in the beautiful Hampshire countryside & using her peloton treadmill). Her other interests include the ‘Last Wednesday of the Month Book Club’ which she set up in 2017, a second book club which she joined in 2023, and “trying new things” e.g. gaining a motor bike license, flying on a trapeze, motor-homing, hypno-birthing…!! She is wife to a Senior Partner at a big London law firm and a dedicated mum to 2 wonderful teenage and very sporty daughters!
