Humanistic Psychotherapy with her background in the sports industry

Prior to becoming a coach, Katie worked in the sports industry
initially in education and then sponsorship with the International
Tennis Federation and London Wasps RFC. She studied Education at
Birmingham University and completed her foundation coach training with
Coach U, CTI and Q-OPD. A believer in continual professional and
personal development, Katie achieved accreditation and a licence in
The Hay Group’s Emotional Competency Inventory and TMSDI’s Team
Management Profiling in 2003, then accreditation in TMS Team
Performance Profile, Linking Skills Profile, and Opportunity
Orientation Profile in 2005. Katie completed her NLP Practitioner
training in 2004, became a CEDR Accredited Mediator in 2006, attended
The Choice by The Arbinger Institute in 2007, Enneagram training in
2008, completed the Choice in Coaching: Arbinger Mastery Training for
Coaches course in 2009, and has to date completed over 12 years
Foundation and Post Graduate training in Humanistic Psychotherapy at
Spectrum (2002 – present day). Katie begun training with Nancy Kline
in 2012 on her “Time to Think” methodology. Katie has so far completed
the Time to Think Foundation (2013) and Facilitator Training
Programmes (2014), and two Thinking Partnership Programmes (2012 &
2013). Katie is continuing her training with Nancy Kline this year, in
addition to further Post Graduate studies in Humanistic Psychotherapy.
Katie Rowland is a
member of the International Coach Federation and Reading Therapies
Group. Katie is also a founder member of Bravehearts a “coach the
coach” group established to rigorously challenge and stretch members’
Katie is a keen sportswoman (particularly netball, tennis, skiing and
horse riding). Her other interests include “trying new things” e.g.
motorbike riding, adult ballet, living in the country,
hypno-birthing…. and she is a devoted mum of 2 young daughters!!
