Fiona is a skilled and dynamic Coach and creative workshop facilitator, working closely with clients to enable them to become more effective and creative in their business and personal lives. She specialises in helping clients identify blocks and make emotional and behavioural changes. This leads to greater creativity, enhanced learning capability, emotional flexibility, stronger leadership, improved team performance, personal well being, and better communication.
She has extensive experience working with clients from board level down in a wide range of businesses. Recent clients include Glaxo Smith Kline, Astrazeneca, Barclays, Chrysalis Group, Clearchannel, and Bourne Leisure. She was also the coaching psychologist in the Family Contract series on BBC 2.
Her coaching and training is delivered with personal energy, passion, and a sense of fun.
Fiona is skilled at creating rapport, putting clients at their ease and building an atmosphere where they feel sufficiently safe to make quantum leaps in their self awareness, thinking, learning, attitudes, values and behaviour . Her approach is tailored to every client, reflecting their level and experience, but the constant is her ability to push people to identify and then reach their potential. She is equally comfortable working one on one, or designing workshops to enable groups of colleagues to learn new skills and behaviours .
A founder member of the Special Group for Coaching Psychology of the British Psychological Society, Fiona is committed to maintaining the highest standards of working practice. She combines psychological theory with a range of dynamic and targeted coaching skills based on commercial experience and understanding, (see below), to enable bright and talented people to maximize their skills, often going further than even they thought they could go.
Prior to becoming a Coaching Psychologist, Fiona worked in advertising, spending 7 years working in some of the UK 's top agencies, and 4 years running an agency in Madrid .
She has a degree in Economics, a 1 st class degree in Psychology, and has trained with Waverley Abbey School of Counseling and Coachville coaching school. She is accredited to administer the MBTI psychological types measurement indicator, the Hay Group's Emotional Competence Inventory and the TMSDI team management profiling system. In addition to the above, she has trained with The Hay Group, The Mind Gym, Timothy Gallway, Landmark Education, and has studied Transactional Analysis, NLP, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This year, she is studying the Leadership Programme of The Psychology of Vision, and will also complete her Hypnotherapy training with the British European School of Therapies.
Fiona is a Graduate Member of The British Psychological Society, a founder member of its Special Group in Coaching Psychology, and a member of the Association of Coaching.
Fiona is married with two young children. She spends time with friends, loves the theatre and music, travels as much as possible, tries to keep fit, and reads a lot, especially psychology and management literature. She is particularly interested in the growing field of positive psychology and how it can help people to live better and happier lives.
